Is your armor broken? well many things have armor piercing abilities. im sure some enemies (like deathclaws) either deal directly in DR or have both. I think the point is that there is no damage resistance unless you specify one, meaning vanilla armors dont have DR. I've heard it's broken, now I want confirmation.Ĭlaire Jackson Posts: 3422 Joined: Thu 11:38 pm No hearsay or rumors please - I need to know what the deal is. I'm not buying that so easily, since if they can add an entire new stat to items in the GECK, they can delete a worthless one - that's also for some reason still being shown on my character in my inventory.
I'm now being told it's broken and I should alter them for DT. The issue is that I converted an armor set from Fallout 3 to New Vegas, but set up the stats exactly how they were setup in Fallout 3, using DR. This game has a lot more in common with Fallout 1 and 2 than Fallout 3 did, and if that's that case, wouldn't it be prudent to assume that DR and DT works the same as it does in Fallout 1 and 2? As in, damage resistance is a percentage based defense, and damage threshold is a flat damage reduction. Someone was trying to tell me that damage resistance was no longer a working stat, and that damage threshold is now the new defensive stat.
